My dinner started with a crispy bread and a little  spicy sauce. then came the main course, consisted of lamb with sauteed vegetables. The lamb had a bittersweet flavor thad made this a magical blend of flavors
Could not ignore the service, always respectful, prompt and efficient. the price was a little expensive, but worth 250 dollars a meal, it was a good investment.
If i had to give it a score, i would definitely put among the best restaurants that i have gone. If you are reading this, looking for a good advice, be sure that jalababa is a good option.

Tradicional Dishes

Among the most important dishes are:

Aush: is an Afghan soup dish made with noodles and different vegetables in a tomato-based broth. It is topped with chaka  (yogurt sauce) and dried/crushed mintleaves.

Bolani: is a vegan flat-bread, baked or fried with a vegetable filling. It has a thin crust and can be stuffed with a variety of ingredients, such as potatoes, spinach, lentils, pumpink, or leeks. It can be served with plain yogurt or mint yogurt.
Bolani is made for special occasions like birthday parties, engagement parties or holidays.

Kahwah:  is a traditional green tea preparation consumed in Afghanistan. The tea is made by boiling green tea leaves with saffron strands, cinammon bark, cardamom pods and occasionally Kashmiri roses to add a great aroma. Generally, it is served with sugar or honey and crushed nuts, usually almonds orwalnuts. Some varieties are made as an herbal infusion only, without the green tea leaves.
Traditionally, kahwah is prepared in a brass kettle known as a samovar. A samovar consists of a "fire-container" running as a central cavity, in which live coals are placed keeping the tea perpetually hot. Around the fire-container there is a space for water to boil and the tealeaves and other ingredients are mixed with the water. Kahwah may also be made in normal pans and vessels, as modern day urban living may not always permit the use of elaborate samovars.
Kahwah is usually served to guests or as part of a celebration dinner, and saffron is added to the kahwah for special visitors. It is often served in tiny, shallow cups. Kehwa in Kashmir is also commonly served after Wazman and elaborate family dinners.

Mantu: In Afghan cuisine, the mantu are filled with beef or lamb mixed with minced onions and spices, steamed and then topped with a very typical sauce of yogurt, dried or fresh mint, lemon juice, and minced or pressed garlic. The mantu are also typically topped with a very small amount of tomato-based sauce which can include split peas, red kidney beans, and some sauteed ground meat. The amount of yogurt sauce is typically much greater than the tomato sauce; the tomato sauce is meant to be dotted on top - not covering the dish.Chatney, a spicy green or red pepper condiment sauce, may be sprinkled on top. Many Afghans also like to serve mantu with a carrot qorma/stew instead of a tomato-based sauce.

Samboosack

Sometimes served with various aliños.It is consisting of an outer envelope of dough very thin and crispy (similar to phyllo) traditionally brewed wheat maida flour stuffed with potatoes and peas or other cooked vegetables and seasoned curry which is fried in oil or ghee before serving. Future

Afghanistan is a country that has provided considerable difficulty for both the natives of the country as well as the international community. With the United States deployed there fighting an insurgency and the people trying to get used to the idea of a central government, Afghanistan’s future can appear grim. There are five important themes that must be addressed to provide better insight into where Afghanistan is headed.

Security:

To begin with, for there to be any future for Afghanistan, there needs to be an increase in security in the different regions. The Taliban have increased their attacks, targeting individuals while in prayer and sending donkey led bombs to kill governors. Despite how intensive the rebuilding has been in Afghanistan, without a strong sense of security, the people of Afghanistan—those who matter the most when it comes to a rebuilding—are not likely to join forces and aid the U.S. forces.

Because of this, the central theme of security must be not only the removal of Taliban forces in regions of the country, but more importantly, holding onto regions. For too many years, soldiers would come in, kill Taliban fighters and then leave the region. After a short time, the Taliban would return and anyone who had even talked to soldiers would be severely punished or executed. In response to this, the Afghani people stopped communicating with the military. Without this support from the people, no amount of combat will defeat the Taliban.

What is important to understand going forward, though, is that a consistent appearance of Afghan police and Afghan military is what will prove to the people that they are safe to communicate with the coalition. If this sense of security cannot be applied, the future of Afghanistan will continue to look dismal.

Economy: the next step for the future of Afghanistan is to begin developing the economy of the country. Because of decades of war, the land is barren and it is difficult to develop a profitable farm in anything other than opium. However, if the economy is truly going to develop, the opium was be removed from the field and replaced by things that can be legally sold and potentially taxed.

A recently agreed upon deal with China over a copper mine located in the Logar province has the ability to generate $400 million a year in revenue for the government, but also can generate 20,000 jobs. Because of the sheer size of the copper mine, there is a good chance that these jobs will last for some time allowing the per capita to raise significantly.

GLOBALIZATION

Following database´s information we found two different opinions about how globalization has affected Afghanistan, but both has in common that this impact has been negative.
Afghanistan has been affected by the negative forces of globalization.  Which according to the Political Counselor Ashraf Haidari stating in his speech on “Transnationalism: Its Impact on South Asian Economy and Politics”, that the negative forces include “transnational extremists, terrorists, and drug traffickers to further destroy Afghanistan and victimize its people” (The Embassy of Afghanistan, 2006).

There is a substantial amount of corruption involved in every corner of its governance. The leaders and the warlords of Afghanistan are benefitting from the opium trade in the illicit markets around the globe. According to the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) Assessment of Corruption in Afghanistan, there has been stated that “ Thirty years of conflict that has weakened underdeveloped state institutions and the country's social fabric, Afghanistan's dominant role in worldwide opium and heroin production, and the tremendous size and diversity of international security, humanitarian and development assistance all increase Afghanistan's vulnerability to corruption” (USAID, 2009).

Globalization in Afghanistan is yet not a known, familiar and accepted terminology in the minds of local people and dictionaries of businessmen. Thus it still remains to be a challenging process for the young afghan administration and Afghanistan's weak economy.

Its economic infrastructures totally ruined and therefore it is now fully dependent on the imported products of other countries. Since the collapse of Taliban regime in 2001, Afghanistan with the assistance of International Community has tried to rebuild its economic infrastructures but still it is a long way back
